I have always had a hard time listening with my full attention. I wrote this poem while grappling with my challenges with ADHD, listening and being listened to. We all (hopefully) have those people in our lives that are great listeners. I wrote this poem to myself. To become a better listener, I had to understand what it means to listen. How to listen and why we listen. To me, it is advice I want to be reminded of every day.
